| FERENCE - In loving memory of Bertram Martin Ference. Bert was born on July 8, 1956 at Consort, Alberta, the eldest son of Alex and Ruth Ference. Bert completed high school at Hughenden and graduated as a heavy-duty mechanic from NAIT. He followed his heart’s passion for farming and spent many hours with his cattle. Bert was a proud father and grandfather. He was known for his competitive personality and was always ready for a late night card game. Bert passed away August 2, 2002 at Three Hills, Alberta. Bert is survived by his three daughters, Erin (Scott) Forbes, Stacie (Michael) Miller and Brittany Bishop, one granddaughter Bailey Miller, his mother Ruth Ference, one brother David (Pat) Ference, and four sisters Bernadette (Norman) Hayward, Debbie (Einar) Sakariassen, Dorinda (Robert) Sunderlund and Marina (Rick) Perner, and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Bert was held at Brownfield and his ashes were interred at the Hardisty Cemetery. Bert will be greatly missed by all who knew his friendly grin and willing spirit. |
