| FITTERER Rose Fitterer passed away in Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital on Tuesday October 9, 2001 at the age of 73 years.
Born in Romania on June 10, 1928, Rose moved to Canada with her family when she was very young. Following her schooling Rose became a dedicated nurse working for many years at Prelate and Eastend, Sask. Rose cared for many sick people young and old. She got especially attached to the children who were ill. On April 28, 1964 Rose married Fred Fitterer in Stettler, Alberta where they lived a couple of years before moving onto the FF Ranch south of Coronation. With this union they were blessed with their three children Deborah, Diana, & Dean. Rose worked very hard being wife and mother. In 1978 Rose and Fred moved to an acreage a few miles from Rosemary, Alberta after Fred was forced to sell their ranch due to a severe heart attack.
Tragedy struck however just shortly before they moved when their beloved son Dean suddenly passed away. This was very hard on Rose and she found it extremely heart breaking after losing Fred in 1994, but her strong Catholic faith kept her going. She loved going to church, praying the Rosary, and devoting her life to the Lord. Her true Christian nature was revealed in all that she did. She treasured all her family and friends. Rose would often reminisce of the many good times spent with each and every one of them. Roses sense of humor and wit was always a great joy. To put it bluntly, Rose was a card. Rose was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Rufina, husband Fred, son Dean, sisters Appolonia and Lucy, brothers Adam, Pete and infant brother George, sisters in law Tina Kuss, Barbara Wolfe, Pauline Fitterer, brother in law Emmanuel Fitterer, sister in law and brother in law Ann & Tony Saunders and two nephews Kelly Fitterer and Emery Wolfe.
