| Elder - The death of Henry Louis Elder, aged 62, of Luseland, SK, occurred at his home on March 6, 2008. He was born on January 18, 1946, in Kerrobert. He lived in Luseland all his life where he farmed, semi-retiring in 2007. He was predeceased by his spouse in April of 1979 and parents, Louis Casper Elder and Annie Elder, as well as numerous siblings. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by daughter, Carrie Scoville (Rod), Coronation, AB; son, Jason Elder (Leane), Alix AB; Grandchildren: Ashley, Brynn and Addison Scoville, Coronation, AB, Layne Smith, Ethan and Raven Elder, Alix AB. his siblings: Leo Elder (Madeline), Kelowna, BC, Bertha Pernitsky, Kamloops, BC, Mary Meier(Ed), Calgary, AB, Jean Gerlinsky (Ted), St. Paul, AB, Ann Holt(Al Finlayson), Rochester, AB, Raymond Elder, Thunder Bay, ON, and his numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service was held at the Blessed Eugene De-Mazond Church, Luseland, SK, on March 14 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fr. George Chatholil officiating. Active Pallbearers were: Nephews: Terrance Gerlinsky, Eric Holt, Randy Holt, Ian Holt, David Elder. Honorary Pallbearer was friend Leon Bazylinski. Organist, Denise Herbst. Eulogy read by daughter Carrie Scoville. Interment was at St. Francis Cemetery, Luseland. Memorial donations can be made to the donor's own selection.
