| FROEHLICK - John Matthew Froehlick died in Coronation, Ab. at his home on Sunday, April 22, 2001 at the age of 67. John was born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan on February 1, 1934. He attended school in Broadacres and helped on the family farm near there until his father died in 1946. The farm was then sold and the family moved to Kerrobert. Soon after he went to work as a fireman for the C.P.R. In 1951 he moved to Coronation while working for the C.P.R. On June 10, 1960 John was married to Ruth Lowe in the Veteran Full Gospel Church. In the period between 1951 and 1971 John held many jobs including: truck driver, milk man, grader operator, plumber, town employee, and mechanic at MacIntosh Motors before opening his own business in 1971. He owned and operated Little Johns Service until its closure in 1995. In the later years of his life he was the caretaker of the Coronation Cemetery. Johns interests included the outdoors, including gardening and going to the river for a wiener roast. His most time consuming hobby was fixing anything and everything. John was predeceased by father, Matthew in 1946, his mother Elizabeth in 1972, and his sisters Kay and Barbara. John is survived by his loving wife Ruth, son Danny (Anita), daughters Michele (Doyle), Cindy, and son Kandy (Margo), 10 grandchildren, his brother Stan, and sisters Margaret and Mary. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at the Evangelical Free Church in Coronation, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to STARS Air Ambulance or the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
