| BEEBE - Mamie Mildred was born on October 23, 1918 in Coronation, Alberta to Ethel and William Steele. She attended Gooseberry Lake School. At the age of nine the family moved to the Talbot district where she continued her education. She met and married Earl Beebe and to this union were born four children Russel, Robert, Keith and Donna. They farmed in the Talbot area and later moved to Lakesand District in 1945 where they farmed until retirement in 1969. During this time Mamie was jack of all trades taking her shift at driving the tractor, milking the cows, one of which was a Jersey and what she thought was the most beautiful cow in the world, cooking for the threshing crew, gardening and having the most beautiful flower gardens around. She loved playing ball, fishing and camping with family. She was a dedicated Edmonton Oilers hockey fan. She enjoyed dancing, square dancing and music and you could hear her whistling to all the songs on the radio or at dances. She played the drums with her husband and children for twenty-two years. She was also of very long time member of the Legion Auxiliary. Mamie moved to Rimbey on October 2, 1972 where she was employed at Parkland Manor. Mamie with the help of Earl made many quilts for her children and grandchildren as well as making some for different charities to raffle. She was also the only red head who could wear bright orange, red or pink and really looked good. She always took pride in how she looked right up to the time of her passing and would not go to the dining room in the morning until she had on her lipstick. She moved back to Coronation in October 1995 where she resided until her passing March 13, 2005. We will all miss her. She leaves to mourn her family: Russ (Bessie) and their children Jim (Georgina) Jims children Dustin, Les and Robbie, Cindy (Murray) Wilson Curtis and Tamara, Tally Lumsden her children Breanne (Darcy) Vold and children (Mamies great great grandchildren) Megan and Tylin, - Jeffrey Colp, Jade-Lee Colp, Kyle (Kathy) Tyson and Kaylah, Robert (Ellen) of Hughenden, their children Rockie (Kathy) Kelcey and Ryan, Colleen (Barry) Spady Bobbie and Marc, Barkley (Cheryl) Dillan and Courtney, Keith (Marie) of Rimbey, their children Sheldon (Shelley) Travis, Tyson and Tanner, Melanie (Jean) Doyon Daniel, Rachelle and Joshua, Angela (Wayne) Hayes Cassie and Dustin, Donna (Jim) Tainsh and their children Nonavee (Brent) Kary Scott, Ellyse and Blake, Palmer (Deanna) Mitchell, Brett and Stephanie, Dawn (Larry) Resch Eric, Morgan and Mikayla.
