| Desjarlais - Wilf H. Desjarlais was born on June 11, 1941 to Evelyn and Herbert Desjarlais in Killam, Alberta. He passed away on January 24, 2005 at Vegreville, Alberta. Predeceased by his brother Alvin (Hootch), October 30, 1974; mother Evelyn, July 6, 1976; and father Herbert, February 2, 1984. Wilf is survived by his wife Pat Hallett of Vegreville; daughters - Crystal (Mike) of Camrose, Cheryl of Grande Prairie, Colleen and Wanda, both of Red Deer, and Roxanne of Drayton Valley; grandchildren Dean, Brianna, Natasha, Chad and Jason; great grandson Travis; brothers and sisters - Cyril of DeWinton, Glen (Gloria) of Drumheller, Dale (Alice) of Edmonton, Jeanne (Lee) Wylie of Oakville, Joyce Desjarlais of Olds and Valerie (John) Christians of Red Deer; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives; and many good friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, January 28, 2005 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Stettler, Alberta with Pastor Karl Faltin, officiating. Pat Hallett, Arlene Nielson, Cheryl Tays, Val Christians and daughter Sheila gave tributes to Wilfs life. Pallbearers were Cyril Desjarlais, Glen Desjarlais, Dale Desjarlais, John Christians, Cec Williamson, Herman Flad and Buddy Bensmiller. Honourary Pallbearers were Rick Nielsen, Neville Hughes, Lee Wylie and All Wilfs Family and Friends. Interment will take place in the Coronation Cemetery, Coronation, Alberta. Following the service family and friends gathered in the St. Peter Lutheran Church Hall for a time of sharing and light refreshments.
