| BLIESNER - Virginia Ginny (nee Turner) Bliesner was born August 17, 1952 in Edmonton, Alberta. She passed away suddenly at home on February 27, 2004 at the age of 51 years. She was one of 11 children. Ginny received her education in Edmonton, Alberta. While she was attending school, she was very active with the Brownies and Girl Guides, was on the swim team, bowled and tried to play the accordion while watching wrestling matches. She moved to Coronation in 1974 and lived with her sister Rene until she found her own place. She worked at the old Royal Crown Hotel as a waitress. She then worked at the Court West Motel as a chambermaid. While working at the Royal Crown Hotel she met a farm boy, Chris whom she married on July 3, 1976. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Chris parents farm where they continued to reside. Born to this marriage were Tara-lee Ann and Ben Allan. Ginny loved farm life, gardening, chickens, cats and dogs. She worked very hard alongside her husband in numerous farm chores and raising their two children. Once the children were old enough Ginny enjoyed camping and fishing with neighbours and friends. When the children were on their own she enjoyed quading with her husband and children. During her spare time she took on another job of catering with a neighbour. Ginny was predeceased by her father Reginald, mother Phyllis, step-mother Dorothy Turner, sister Roberta, brother Charlie and father-in-law Bernie Bliesner. She leaves to mourn her husband Chris of Coronation, daughter Tara-lee (Ken) Alkenbrack of Penhold, Alberta and son Ben (girlfriend Peggy) of Coronation. She also leaves five brothers: Phillip, Charles, Dennis, Norris and Terry (Ann) Turner of Devon, Alberta and children Kimberly and DJ; four sisters Jean, Cora, Dawn Turner (Ian Miller) of Kerrobert, Saskatchewan and children Misty (Robert) and Aaron, Rene Peevey of Sherwood Park and children Michelle (Shane), Clinton and Carilyn. Also her mother-in-law Laura Bliesner of Castor; brother-in-law Wayne Bliesner and friend John of Red Deer and Waynes children Tracey (Rick) Vaile and Craig (April) Bliesner; sister-in-law Alice (Bill) Turigan of Ponoka and their children Jason (Tina) Turigan and Sarah-Lee (Aaron) Turigan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and friends. Ginny will be sadly missed. Funeral services were held on March 2, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Trinity United Churchy with Rev. Mervyn Penfound officiating. Congregational hymns were Blessed Be The Tie That Binds, God Will Take Care of You, and In The Garden with Margaret Merchant as organist and Linda Osetsky playing the piano. A special musical selection was sung by Shirley and Doug McKay. Interment was at Coronation Cemetery with Blair McKenzie, Ken Neal, Bill Banwell, Ian Miller, Bob Vigen and Jason Turigan as pallbearers. Following the interment service friends and family gathered at the Elks Community Hall for a time of fellowship and refreshments prepared and served by the Federal Friendship Ladies. If friends desire memorial donations may be made in Ginnys name to the Alberta Diabetes Association or to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or to a charity of the donors choice.
