The Coronation Students Union were constantly doing some sort of fundraising for things they needed or wanted for the school.
They would have basketball marathons and play basketball for 20 hours, or hold a wake-a -thon where they stayed awake for 44 hours. They were always thinking of some new way to raise money.
Of course they would do the regular things like selling chocolate bars, or magazines also. These students were savvy shoppers, and didnt let the big companies pull the wool over their eyes.

School Notes
The Students Union will not be buying the Nut Milk Bars because the company changed the weight from 3 ounces to 2 ounces and kept the price the same.
We figured it would be more economical for people to buy 2 regular chocolate bars for 50c than buy one Nut Milk Bar for 50c.
First we will enjoy the fond memory of being able to buy two bars for 50c, then we will be proud of those young people for not letting the Milk Nut Bar Company get away with that one.
The students would often have an evening concert or entertainment of some kind as a fundraiser. They would go all out getting entertainers from near and far.

School Notes
On March 7th the fabulous hypnotist Romane will be at the school giving two shows, one at 7:30 and one at 9:45.
Advance tickets are $2.50 for adults, $2 for 16 and under and preschoolers are free.
Of course at the time Romane would not be as famous as he was in later years, but I still think that is a pretty good achievement for a school in a town this size.
I think I am jealous. I never got to see Romane and I lived by a big city.
