I am a big fan of the early rock and roll music, and remembering all the hoopla that had surrounded the beginnings of the rock movement, I had been looking forward to finding comments on the early rock stars, Elvis, the Beatles, etc.
I didnt find anything, not even a mention of Elvis, and the only musical names that I did find were all good old country music stars.
Wilf Carter was even here for a concert.
I had just about decided that the only music ever listened to in this area was country, and the rock movement was totally dead here when I found this article in 1964.

Talbot Hornets Sportsmens Dinner Bang-up Affair
On Friday, April 10 well over 100 persons took part in a fine evenings entertainment in the Talbot Hall, sponsored by the Talbot Hornets Hockey Club.
The Beatles!!!
The final event of the program proved another highlight.
This was a surprise appearance of the Hornet Beatles, a group of well dressed young men, of no mean talent, who gave their version of the other Beatles in a very realistic fashion.
The Beatles were introduced, to bring down a most realistic outburst of screaming by the teen-agers that drowned out the music and song at times as Stan Bridge, George Copan, Gerald Lang, and Alvin Newell, complete with wigs, did their stuff.
This item proved so popular that several curtain calls later they had about run out of steam.
After a short intermission to clear the hall, a well attended dance took place with music by the Rhythm Rascals.
I should have known that the local teen-agers of the day would be up to date on all things, musical and otherwise.
I also should have known that these same teens would not be content with merely listening to the radio, and would find some way to turn it into real entertainment.
I wonder if the Rhythm Rascals played any Beatle songs?
