Men dont understand women. The basic reason for this is just that men and women are different, always have been and always will be.
Most women know this from an early age and learn how to work around the differences. This has been going on practically from day one. An item I found in a 1946 Review gives some proof of this.

Hi-School Notes
Two teams of debaters held forth at the high school this week on the subject of Should Married Women Have a Job Outside Their Home.
The affirmative were Grade Ten, Velma Wallace, Mavis Harding, Louanna Harris; negative, Grade Twelve, William Kot, Kathie Bernhardt, Louise Heidecker.
The negative side won according to Judges Virginia Oke, Ellen Cole and Joyce Bullick.
Although losing out the affirmative made a good point thusly:
Affirmative: Married women should have jobs so they can purchase necessary things.
Negative answer: The husband can do this job.
Affirmative (answered by Mavis Harding): A husband does not know what things a women calls necessary.
I am really surprised that the affirmative lost the debate with insightful remarks like that.
In that same newspaper I came across something that has me really puzzled and I am hoping that someone will help me with it.
Spirella garments should be ordered during the companys slack months - February and March. Mail orders excepted for all customers having measurements on file.
Mrs. J. L. Ross,
Coronation Alberta.
Even my spell check does not know what Spirella is.
I sure am curious about this and would really like to know just what kind of garment this is, so, once again I am asking my readers to search their memories and see if they can find the answer for me.
